I had the most insane experience of my life just the other day, I must share it with you! In all reality it was not all that insane, more or less just awkward on many levels.
As you may or may not know, I go to bed early and rise early all in the name of fitness. One early morning (before 6 a.m.) I was finishing up my workout with some decline sit-ups with a 45 lb weight, really intense. An old man happened to be standing there watching me, well it seemed at the moment he was, I was not sure so I forgot about it. I continued doing sit-ups and he was still there, extremely uncomfortable right? Finally I put down my 45 lb weight and look up at him and said just like so, "Yes?" He quickly walked away and said nothing.
The way I see it, if he wanted to stare at me that badly he could have just asked. I would have told him that he may but only from a distance. I always try to be as outspoken as possible but really I couldn't think of anything else to say to the man.
Check out this article if you are an old man.
Old men in the gymnasium are to put it nicely, disgusting, at least in the locker room that is. They have no regard for other people and don't see the need to cover up their junk. I don't have a fear of showering in the locker room, I do almost every day, the one thing I do not do is walk around completely naked; the old men have no shame and do walk around completely naked. When I am finished showering I promptly grab my towel and where that towel when I am shaving or brushing my teeth. Old men do not. Then I dress. I will even have a conversation amidst the aforementioned activities, I do not put my foot and the bench and talk about sports, the weather, and how hot the 180 degree sauna is, it's 180 degrees, we get it, the temperature is on the thermometer.
Every gym should have 2 male locker rooms, one for anyone under 40, and another one that smells like old spice.
